I am selling my treasured 1988 Volkswagen 1.9 td Westfalia. This is the Weekender edition, so it does not have the stove/fridge combination, but has the two beds, up and down. I brought this vehicle from Germany where the 1.9td is an option. This vehicle is not to be confused with the underpowered 1.6 non turbo that was available in Canada. I have recently replaced the engine, had the transmission rebuilt by Rancho transmissions in Los Angeles, it has a new muffler, and is almost a perfect vehicle mechanically. It will need a paint job in the near future, but as you can see from the pictures there is virtually no rust. It has the swivel captains chairs, tinted windows, a two way remote. This car has been a great car! Runs amazingly! It is amazing on gas! Around 180,000kms 5 speed manual cd player with auxiliary import and updated speakers New muffler, windshield, brakes, control arm, tires all done within the last year or so. Frequent and a recent oil change. No leaks, doesn't burn oil. Trailer hitch attachement! Tire chains for snow Perfect interior! The only problem at the moment are the doors are little bit sticky to open from the inside (not the driver's). It is a small problem that I haven't really looked into as the driver's door works fine. I have put a lot of work into this car and it is in great condition. I have to let it go because I am starting school in the fall.
